Genealogical Activities

The genealogical programs of the Society are historically some of our most active. Presently, they are somewhat hampered by limited access to the Library collection, but that challenge will ease as the collection is cataloged and placed on open shelves. Services include advice on basic genealogy, citation format, and referrals to Augustans worldwide. There are also several special projects in action.

Genealogy Committee

The Genealogy Committee is the body responsible for approving lineages. Such lineages are requirements for membership in some of the Society's lineage groups, and as raw data for book projects and articles. The small staff could use some help from qualified genealogists.
