The Augustan Library is temporarily closed while our volunteer Library Director is away. We expect access to resume after July 2025. Currently stored in Orlando, Florida, our library is seeking a permanent home in the United States. 

Since its inception, the Society has maintained a collection of resources for use by our members and serious researchers in all our primary focus areas. Over the years, the library has grown from several bookcases in the founder’s childhood home to a one-of-a-kind collection of over 30,000 volumes and other materials. Some 6,000 volumes and items are accessible.

When the Library Director is available, you may request photocopies, index searches, or hire staff to do research. Members may borrow some books directly, while others are invited to use the Inter-Library Loan system at their local public or academic library. Library visits are available with advance reservation.
