Hereditary Order of Armigerous Augustans
Aims
The Hereditary Order of Armigerous Augustans was established to promote a spirit of kinship and fellowship between armigerous members of the Augustan Society throughout the world and to encourage friendly contacts amongst them, by sponsoring gatherings of members of the Order, by providing an organization through which heraldic traditions are maintained and the knowledge and understanding of them expanded and disseminated, and by instituting ways in which members can meet socially and discuss their common interests.
And, to encourage, foster, and stimulate general knowledge and intelligent appreciation of, and to facilitate the interchange of, information and ideas concerning all matters related to Armigers, Armigerous Families, Armorial Ensigns, Heraldry, and allied subjects; to promote research on, and investigation into, these subjects, and to exhibit from among the U.S. members the varying heraldic traditions which have made the United States the recipient of a rich heraldic tradition.
And, to collect and preserve the history and tradition of Armigers, including historical works of art, antiquities, and relics connected therewith.
And, to maintain a roll of, and to publish, arms of members.
And, to establish a fund for educational purposes.
